A gunman who opened fire at a Millington, Tn. naval base is in custody after shooting the entrance of the armory Thursday.

Two soldiers were wounded before the gunman was subdued and disarmed.

The two guardmen are being treated for non-life threatening wounds and are expected to be released soon.

From Fox 13:

Naval Support Activity Mid-South was on lockdown as a precaution moments after the shooting shortly after 12:45 p.m. at the nearby Armory Reserve Center. The lockdown was lifted in the afternoon…the shooter did not have the small handgun used in the shooting in his possession by the time officers arrived. Authorities haven’t released the name of the shooter or the victims. But Maj. Gen. Max Haston, Tennessee’s adjutant general, said at a news conference all three of the men were recruiters and that the shooter was a sergeant first class who had been in the Guard about six or seven years and that the victims, were his superiors.

The unnamed shooter was facing disciplinary action from two senior soldiers at the time. He went into his car, got a gun and started shooting as he walked back to the armory.

The FBI is handling the investigation and a news conference is expected on Friday.
