Talent is often exhibited in the youth, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive when they put it on full display. Proving this point, nine-year-old Anaya Lee Willabus has published her first book, The Day Mohan Found His Confidence.

While this would be a major achievement for anyone, Willabus made history. The Brooklyn native is the youngest female author to publish a chapter book in the United States, according to the Huffington Post.

The book tells the story of a young boy named Mohan that learns the true value of a good support system comprised of family and friends. While Willabus is only nine years old, she’s read more than 300 books in her family’s library, starting when she was only two-years-old.

As far as the future is concerned, she hopes to one day become a teacher and continue writing. She appears to be off to a great start and only time will tell what will come next for Willabus.
