Revisionist history has probably never been so bold.

Kellyanne Conway, President Trump’s adviser who’s now famous for coining the term “alternative facts,” has added to her legacy of outright lying to the public.

While Trump has received massive backlash for his policies and executive orders, Conway attempted to defend his ban of Muslims from seven countries. However, her methods probably just made things worse.

“I bet it’s brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. It didn’t get covered,” she told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews.

There’s a glaring problem here. The Bowling Green Massacre never happened.

Conway later clarified that she was attempting to reference a 2009 incident when two Iraqi men named Waad Ramadan Alwan and Mohanad Shareef Hammadi who lived in Bowling Green, Kentucky and were arrested after plotting to deliver weapons to al Qaeda, according to CNN.

That’s also a stretch, however, because these men were never planning to attempt a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. It takes a might huge leap to get from that to an unreported massacre.

Oh yeah, and President Obama never had a 6-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program.

Kellyanne Conway continues to steal headlines by attempting to mislead and lie to the public as if fact-checking is no longer practiced.

It’s hard to decide whether she should stop being allowed on television due to her continued practice of spreading falsehoods or if we should let it happen so that the public can call her out for it. It does lead to some pretty good Twitter jokes, after all.
