Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick addressed a rumor Sunday. During an interview, the second-term Democrat stated that he may be able to see himself as a national candidate for the 2016 elections.
It doesn’t mean that he will run for president, but is open to the possibility of holding some type of position on Capitol Hill.
“That’s a decision I have to make along with my wife of 30 years, and she’s a tough one to convince,” Patrick said. Prodded further, the former Justice Department official responded: “Let’s just see what time tells.”
Patrick is just the second African-American elected governor in the country.
