George Zimmerman has been arrested and charged with assault and battery for allegedly pointing a shotgun at his new girlfriend Samantha Scheibe.

The incident occurred at the residence shared by the pair on Monday. Audio of the 911 call has been released:

Scheibe claimed that Zimmerman broke a glass table and pointed a gun in her face. He is due in court Tuesday, where a judge will decide if he will get bond.

According to reports, the former neighborhood watchman pushed Scheibe from her Florida apartment at gunpoint. He also allegedly barricaded the door with furniture.

Scheibe told police the incident started with a verbal argument and that she asked him to leave the house. She began packing his belongings and that’s when things got out of hand.

After the 911 call was placed, Zimmerman contacted authorities to “tell them his side” of the story. “I have a girlfriend, who for lack of a better word, has gone crazy on me,” Zimmerman said. He said he never pulled a gun on his girlfriend and she was the one who smashed the table at the home they shared. We Zimmerman started to leave, she got mad.
