For the first time in the series, TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” will be featuring a transgender bride in search of the perfect gown for the wedding of her dreams.

The lucky lady? Precious Davis, an activist from the Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago. In the new episode which airs on Friday, she will share the story of her romance with Myles Brady, a fellow activist from the same area.

The two are well known in the social justice circles, and have even appeared in major national campaigns for Miley Cyrus’ Happy Hippie Foundation. But they’ve largely kept quiet about their relationship. By appearing on “Say Yes to the Dress” they hope to use the visibility to open up about their love story in a way that is both authentic and in line with their activism.

“I think that ‘Say Yes to the Dress,’ [there are] always these beautiful, inspiring stories,” Davis told DNAinfo Chicago. “We believe that our love story is revolutionary to trans people.

“We encourage people to believe again in love and that their love doesn’t come in one package. ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ was a really great example for us to use our activism in that way.”

The two lovebirds met on the Southside of Chicago while doing social service work, and after six months of Davis giving Brady “the run-around,” the two met up for sushi (even though Brady’s allergic to seafood). That dinner led to love, and eventually a proposal where Brady tricked Davis into thinking Beyonce was at the Chicago bean. Bey wasn’t there, but her bae was, bending down on one knee waiting for her to say yes to a lifetime of the two together.

Congratulations to Precious and Myles!
