Closed Doors
Have you ever felt like you were stuck in a hallway, between two closed doors?
One door, which is locked, leads to your past, filled with moments that you want to live miles away from. The other door, which is closed, leads to your future, with moments that are miles away, but gain speed as you move towards them. The problem, however, is that the moments behind the closed door scare you, and so you find yourself voluntary stuck in the hallway, tugging and banging to get in the locked door, and ignoring the closed one.
We try and justify to ourselves all of the “good” things that happened behind the locked door. We can’t resist the urge to go back to our “good” spot and be secure there. Reality is, however, that we’re not being honest about our situations, and we’re confusing “good” with “great.”
I understand the time spent behind the locked door might have brought us some nice things or seems like the best option, but if You are serious about being elevated to the next level, stop allowing yourself to be stuck in the hallway and turn the knob to your future.
“When one door closes, another one opens,” says the old cliché. But what we forget is that doors to opportunity don’t open themselves, faith without works is dead!
It’s time for you to step it up and realize that there is more for you to do. Make the conscious choice to turn the knob on the closed door. If you don’t, and you choose instead to “jimmy” the locked door, your demise will come easy.
