Comic: Even with human trafficking, cis straights conspire to paint trans women as monsters
I guarantee you trans people are far too occupied with worrying about navigating a world that hates them.

It all started among The Straights on Facebook.
Let me set the mood.
The rest of us were all minding our magical, stylish, non-straight business and I was enjoying a particularly fragrant blueberry tea. I saw a friend of mine going off about a woman’s post that went as follows:
“Thousands of black women missing in the US. TRANSSEXUALS (Her caps, not mine) are getting Uterus transplants. Do the Math!!!”
Now… Thoroughly taken aback once again by Cis Heterosexuals’ ingenuity to implicate LGBTQ people, I thought to myself, These are just the rants of a few silly outliers. Just like a few years ago when more than one straight woman asked if anal sex made my ass bigger. They’ll move on, it’ll fade, and we’ll all just go back to the usual systemic oppression.
But then, my curiosity got the best of me.
I hit the Facebook search bar and look up “trans women stealing uteruses” or something along the lines of it. What I found were multiple posts, multiple comments, MULTIPLE mini thinkpieces and conflations regarding Trans women getting uterus transplants and the ever growing number of missing black girls and women.
Once again cis straight people show just how much they don’t care about actual Black victims of trafficking or assault until its time to mark LGBTQ+ people as the monsters in the night snatching victims from the street.
In other words, must be Wednesday. Or any day ending in y.

Trans and gender-nonconforming people are found murdered just about every other week. Within the first few months of 2019, there were at least 25 reported cases. These crimes are usually perpetrated by cis heterosexual strangers, family, and lovers. I guarantee you trans people are far too occupied with worrying about navigating a world that hates them to carry out abductions and backroom uterus extractions.
Meanwhile, well-documented cases of straight men coercing and forcing girls into sex trafficking continue to pile up right under our noses.
YOU do the math.
The Gag is even if you ignore the amount of cis women who don’t even want their uterus, there are a multitude of trans men and non-binary people who are more than willing to give up theirs.
Once again, what we need from cis straight folks is solidarity and community care, but instead all they offer is conspiracy and bigotry that help absolutely no one.
