When the “alt-right” movement is referred to as neo-Nazis it’s not meant to be an exaggeration to show that its members are extremely conservative. This is a white nationalist group through and through which is only confirmed as more information about the group emerges.

A video was recently obtained and published that shows more than 200 people in attendance at an “alt-right” meeting this past Saturday where a speaker can be seen saying “Hail Trump! Hail our people! Hail Victory!” and speaking about a perceived entitlement to inheriting the United States.

The speaker in the video is actually National Policy Institute Richard Spencer, who reached the podium after many other speakers had appeared and most media outlets had left the facility.

“America was, until this last generation, a white country, designed for ourselves and our posterity. It is our creation and our inheritance, and it belongs to us,” Spencer said.

The Atlantic was in attendance at the event and captured video of the speech, including members of the crowd responding with Nazi salutes.

Regardless of the support that he’s gotten from clearly racist groups, President-elect Trump has now made it a regular habit to denounce racism as if it didn’t play a major role in his campaign for the past two years.

“President-elect Trump has continued to denounce racism of any kind and he was elected because he will be a leader for every American,” Trump-Pence Transition spokesman Bryan Lanza said in a statement. “To think otherwise is a complete misrepresentation of the movement that united Americans from all backgrounds.”

This video is coming to the public amid a public controversy where multiple media outlets are normalizing the extremism of the neo-Nazi group masquerading under the term “alt-right” with news segments exploring their racist ideologies.
