Donald Glover’s FX series Atlanta took the world by storm with its brand new brand of comedy, commentary on the black experience and unique characters. After winning big at the Golden Globes, fans of the show only grew more excited for season two.

Unfortunately, they’ll have to wait a lot longer than expected.

Due to Donald Glover being in such high demand and working on so many projects, season two of Atlanta has been pushed back to 2018, according to Deadline.

It’s speculated that Glover landing the role of a young Lando Calrissian in an upcoming Star Wars film is the main reason for the delay.

Fortunately, Glover’s success was rewarded when FX offered him an overall production deal which will allow him to work on even more projects with the channel going forward.
