Chicago native Kelsey Riley is among those afforded the Mary King/Julian Bond Communications Fellowship.

The Donda’s House executive assistant/social media manager joins a growing list of those invested in providing a voice for the under-served.

From Active Voices:

This summer, we will host the Mary King/Julian Bond Communications Fellowship  in partnership with the Freedom Side – a multi-state collective of young people of color rooted in love, grassroots organizing, and action seeking to answer the question of whose life matters in this country. Through civic engagement campaigns anchored in four states led by the Dream Defenders, Mississippi NAACP, Ohio Student Association, and United We Dream, the Freedom Summer project will start to empower a beloved community where human life is valued and people are in control of the systems that affect them.
