A Florida man is being held without bail after killing a 17 year-old over loud music.

Jordan Davis was hanging out in an SUV with friends outside of a convenience store.

45 year-old Michael Dunn pulled up alongside of them and asked that they turn their music down. After exchanging words, Dunn suddenly pulled out a gun and fired at least eight shots into the SUV.

From Gawker:

Dunn, a Satellite Beach resident, was arrested Saturday at his home on charges of murder and attempted murder. He was booked into Brevard County jail, where he is being held without bail.

He is expected to be returned to Jacksonville shortly after pleading not guilty through his attorney Robin Lemonidis.

“It will be very clear that Mr. Dunn acted very responsibly and as any responsible firearms owner would have acted under these circumstances,” Lemonidis told reporters, but would not elaborate.

In an excuse reminiscent of that of George Zimmerman earlier this year, Dunn is claiming he felt “threatened” during the exhcange, and thought the teens were reaching for a gun.

According to police, there was no gun found inside of the SUV.

Yet another unarmed black teenager accosted and murdered.
