Kanye West under investigation for punching teen who hurled racial slurs at him
Kanye West has already been charged with criminal battery for getting into a scuffle with a photography last September while at Los Angeles International Airport. Now, he has yet another incident on his hands.
On Monday, West was charged with misdemeanor battery after punching a teenager who hurled racists insults at him and Kim Kardashian.
According to People.com, Kim was going to a meeting about furniture for her new home when a young man began yelling at paparazzi gathered outside, dropping the n-word. TMZ reports that Kim scolded him for his language and he turned on her, saying, “I will kill you, slut!”
An irate Kim then called Kanye, who soon arrived on the scene. At that point, People says the guy had gone into a nearby chiropractor’s office. Kim and Kanye went in after him, and that’s where Kanye “punched the guy,” reports TMZ. Kanye then exited out the back of the building using Kim’s Mercedes SUV, while she left in his Lamborghini, telling X17 that the assault claims were “ridiculous.”
In a statement, Beverly Hills police confirmed that the department responded to a call involving the star and Kim Kardashian. “The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses. Mr. West had left the location prior to Officers arrival. As of this writing, BHPD Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation. No further information at this time.”
According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian is now planning to file a complaint with police about the threat.
