Marvel’s Luke Cage Gets Renewed For Season 2
It’s not a surprise to anyone who watched it – at least, it shouldn’t be – but Marvel’s Luke Cage has been renewed for a second season to air on Netflix.
The first season was critically acclaimed and basically broke Netflix when it first aired, so its renewal was surely a lock. But getting official word is still worth celebrating because weirder things have happened in the world of entertainment.

The first season had a cast full of talented actors, lead by Mike Colter as Cage and featuring Rosario Dawson, Mahershala Ali, Theo Rossi, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick and many more. Not to mention the great soundtrack that was backed by songs Wu-Tang Clan’s ODB and scored by members of A Tribe Called Quest.
There’s no word on when the season is expected to air yet, we’ve still got to make our way through Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and the premiere season of The Punisher first. But hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer to see Luke, Misty Knight and many other beloved characters from the series.
