Paris Jackson – the daughter of the late Michael Jackson – was hospitalized yesterday after an apparent suicide attempt.

Paris reportedly took 20 Motrin, wrote a suicide note, and then cut her wrist.

Thankfully, she had second thoughts and cried out for help.

From USA Today:

TMZ reports that the teen took “a large number of Motrin pills” and cut herself with a “meat cleaver.” The site says Michael Jackson’s daughter called a “suicide hotline” and left a “suicide note.”

People.com offers a slightly less dramatic picture of the scene, but confirms that Jackson, 15, “cut her wrists with a kitchen knife and took as many as 20 ibuprofen tablets.”

The Jackson family, in statement from lawyers, has asked for “privacy.” Katherine Jackson’s lawyer said Paris “is physically fine” now and is “getting appropriate medical attention.”

La Toya Jackson told ET that the family requests privacy while as they handle “these issues together.” Paris’ brother, Prince Michael, 16, has canceled an appearance on German television to be by Paris’ side, reports People.
