Roger Ailes, FOX News Co-Founder, Dies at 77
Roger Ailes has died. A statement was released by his wife, Elizabeth Ailes, this morning announcing that the co-founder and former chairman of Fox News has died at the age of 77.
Ailes was recently involved in a scandal tied to decades’ worth of accusations of sexual harassment and payouts to victims in the company he was the mastermind of. He was forced to resign from his position in 2016.

Ailes’ removal from power was the first of many dominoes that led to Fox News’ current state of contained chaos. Whether it be racial discrimination lawsuits or accusations of sexual harassment against other prominent figures, the conservative cable news network is definitely going through a rough patch.
