Video: teen who created workout DVD at age 8 helps children combat child obesity
14-year-old Sabria Burns knows the importance of staying fit. In fact, she’s known as “the push up princess.” She’s been featured in Ripley’s Believe it or Not for doing 300 push-ups in a day at just 8 years old.
She also released her first workout DVD in hopes of helping her peers stay in shape. Six years later and Sabria is still committed to fitness.
The mission of Sabria Fitness is to fight childhood obesity and promote healthy lifestyles for children. Sabria travels around the country to provide educational information about the risk of poor eating habits and the lack of physical activity. She spreads awareness about the epidemic of childhood obesity and motivates and encourages kids to live healthier lives.
Burns gives free workouts and demonstrations to her peers at schools across the country.
also happens to be an ambassador for the NFL’s Fuel Up to 60 program. Its focus is to have leaders motivate their peers to stay active and healthy.
