Viola Davis has become one of the most recognizable actors in the industry as of late. Roles in “How To Get Away With Murder,” Fences and Suicide Squad have proven to make 2016 a highly prosperous year for her and she’ll still be reaping the benefits of it going into 2017.

It was announced this past Monday that Davis will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – the first of the year.

“Viola is one of the actresses who always mesmerize fans with her talent. She is amazing and we are thrilled that she will grace our world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez in a press release.

Davis’ star will be revealed on January 5 at 11:30 a.m. PST and will be streamed live for all who want to see.

Be sure to see Davis in the film adaptation of August Wilson’s Fences, which premieres on Christmas Day.
