D’Angelo

Yeah I know; this is a long shot.

But just this week Questlove confirmed that D’Angelo’s long-awaited 3rd album James River is very close to completion, that it’s amazing, and that those recently announced tour dates in Europe are no fluke.

The hype is (allegedly) real, people. D’Angelo may finally release the follow-up to 2000’s phenomenal Voodoo. I’m as wary of getting my hopes up about this guy as you are, but this shit looks hella promising.

And I think it goes without say that if D does in fact return to the scene in 2012 with James River, it’s gonna be lights out for every other R&B cat in the game. Period.
