5 Movies to Look Forward to This Summer
Even Drake said that we need to get ready for Summer 2016, and it seems like the film industry is following suit. There are some “Grade A” movies that are being released this summer, and we suggest you go watch them and tell us what you think.
See the list below!
X-Men Apocalypse (May 27)
X-Men Apocalypse continues to tell the origin stories of some of our favorite X-men in a different way; Professor X and Mystique – played by James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence, respectively – recruit a team of young X-Men to defeat their invincible nemesis Apocalypse – the first and most powerful mutant – from destroying mankind.
This movie hits the theaters today, so drop whatever you have and head over to your closest cinema to see this blockbuster.
Finding Dory (June 17)
C’mon now! Who doesn’t love Dory? Remember Dory from Finding Nemo. Well, she’s back with Marlin and Nemo as they try to find Dory’s family. Ellen DeGeneres returns to lead the movie as Dory, again. Make sure to catch this Pixar Studios blockbuster film filled with laughter, tears, and an unforgettable journey.
Central Intelligence (June 17)
Who doesn’t love The Rock and/or Kevin Hart? This movie follows a “lethal” agent (Dwayne Johnson) and his former comedic schoolmate (Kevin Hart) who are trying to crack a top-secret case. At this point, anything that Kevin Hart touches makes money, so I think we can say that this movie will be one of the best summer comedies this year.
Jason Bourne (July 29)
We don’t know much about this movie, but it’s part of The Bourne Series, so it has to be good by default. All that we do know is that Bourne is involved in some political plot, there is a lot of action, and Bourne will be tested to the full limits of his physical capacity. Fans were very happy when Jeremy Renner was casted in The Bourne Legacy, so should we be expecting a crossover film with Matt Damon and Jeremy Renner?
Hmm…possibly.
Suicide Squad (August 5)
Have you seen the trailer for Suicide Squad? It looks amazing! Here, we see Warner Bros. and DC Comics giving us a taste of the best story of super villains. In this movie, villains like Harley Quinn accept a secret government mission that will most likely lead to their deaths. However, apparently, Warner Bros. has already ordered a sequel…so I guess no one is dying? We’ll have to wait and see.
This time, we get to see actors like Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie step out of their comfort zone, which seems to suit them well.
So, what movies are you most excited to see? Let’s talk about it in the comments section.
