Angela Bassett has been cast as Ramonda, the Queen Mother of Wakanda, in Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther film, according to Deadline.

Is black magic overload a thing? Because I’m not sure how much better this movie’s cast could be.

Bassett joins the cast in her perfectly cast role alongside Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Forrest Whitaker, Michael B. Jordan and many more talented black faces as we learn more about T’Challa and the world of Wakanda.

In the comic books, Ramonda plays a very important role in the country of Wakanda as she offers counsel to T’Challa, her stepson, as he hopes to manage the pressures of being both the kind of the world’ most scientifically and technologically advanced country as well as a superhero.

Black Panther will begin production in the first quarter of 2017 and is scheduled to reach theaters across the world in February 2018. Ryan Coogler is directing the film.
