Beyonce walked out to the podium at her Super Bowl press conference today and asked everyone to stand.

As a bewildered crown of journalists rose to their feet, she proceeded to nail the national anthem a cappella for the stunned crowd.

She then quipped, “any questions?”

Later, she fielded questions about the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show performance, promising not to lip-synch.

She also explained her rationale for singing to a backing track at the inauguration:

“I am a perfectionist,” she said when asked about the inaugural performance, explaining that she chose to use “a backing track” due to a lack of sound check and adequate rehearsal time.

“I’m very proud of my performance,” she added. She also said that she did sing along to her own voice that was on a prerecorded track.
