Celebrities have started to come out to offer their support to Houston residents following the flooding of Tropical Storm Harvey. One of the most notable to do so is a daughter of Houston herself – Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

“My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help,” she told the Houston Chronicle.

“I am working closely with my team at BeyGood as well as my pastor [Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston] to implement a plan to help as many as we can.”

This act of charity, however it presents itself, will fall in line with Beyoncé’s past efforts, as she’s donated to a long list of aid and community service efforts along with her husband.
