BREAKING: Gunman on Yale campus, university on lock down
Yale University has confirmed that there is a person with a gun on campus.
As a result, university officials have issued a school-wide lockdown.
The school issued a “shelter in place” order to its remaining students. In a message posted on its emergency alert website, Yale told students “if off campus, stay away.”
The school is on Thanksgiving break and many students are not on campus. Classes are set to resume Dec. 2.
According the the school’s emergency alert website, Yale University Police, New Haven police and State police are all on the scene.
