In a remarkable about face, Atlanta-based fast food seller Chick-fil-A has decided to stop funding anti-gay organizations:

A lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy organization in Chicago says Chick-fil-A will cease donations to groups that oppose gay marriage.

In a Sept. 18 press release, The Civil Rights Agenda wrote that Alderman Moreno, the man who led the opposition in Chick-fil-A opening a restaurant in Chicago, “has confirmed that Chick-fil-A will no longer give money to anti-gay organizations and that they have clarified in an internal document that the company will treat every person equally, regardless of sexual orientation.”

Chick-fil-A had been under intense scrutiny by politicians and the public for the last several years.
