It appears that the Los Angeles Clippers has lost a sponsor due to racist remarks made by team owner Donald Sterling.

LoanMart Auto Title Loans took to its Facebook Page to make the following statement:

The statements allegedly made by Donald Sterling are completely inconsistent with the views and ethics of the LoanMart organization.

As a result, LoanMart is suspending our advertising and sponsorship activities for the Los Angeles Clippers for the time being and will continue to monitor the situation for further developments. We want to emphasize our continued support for the Clippers players, coaching staff and fans during this difficult time.

CarMax, a major used car chain, also confirmed they would cut ties with the team; ending a nine-year partnership. Virgin America and Mercedes Benz also cut ties with the Clippers. Kia Motors has suspended its sponsorship with the team, but hasn’t said whether the decision will be permanent.

Who’s surprised?
