But feminists are not necessarily turning women against males. Oddly enough, men are.

I know I’m asking a lot here, but I need men to take a break from moving all these goalposts around and address something for me real quick.

Feminism—Wait. Nope. Come back you fucking coward—is trying to equip girls and women with the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize, fight against, and break free from the patriarchal ideals that hurt them. Men, of course, often see this as a personal affront to them somehow and thus shit on feminism.

But feminists are not necessarily turning women against males. Oddly enough, men are.

Men always seem to walk this wobbly line between’ Not-All-Men-ing feminist conversations and being a general derailment while at the same time casually vilifying all other men, their assumed “intentions”, and their percieved “nature”. Ever talk to a straight dude who is afraid of letting his significant other hang out with her male friends because, and I directly quote from a popular meme, “I remember when I was your friend and I wanted to fuck the shit out of you”?

We see this behavior on full display as fathers still lean on the “daddy with a shotgun” trope to scare boys and men away from dating their daughters. They even put this shit on t-shirts for crying out loud.

Men make a whole show out of seeing the women in their lives as prized property while at the same time not only disrespecting them, but disrespecting them on a communal level. Visit any male-dominated space such as barber shops or geek forums where men speak openly about “these females” and you’ll see exactly what I am talking about.

The Gag is… if masculinity wasn’t so heavily centered around the disrespect and subjugation of all things feminine and female, there wouldn’t be a NEED for such fake-ass grand-standing against each other for the sake of a woman’s “honor”.

Men are not only well aware of the predatory environment that shapes their attitudes towards women, they openly conceive ways of navigating and participating in it.

And yet feminism is The Enemy?
