Guns confiscated from George Zimmerman returned
Five guns confiscated from former neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman have been returned. Police seized a .380-caliber handgun, a 9-mm handgun, a Glock 19 handgun, a Kel-Tec 12-gauge shotgun and an AR-15 assault-style rifle after he was arrested for a domestic violence dispute.
George Zimmerman picked up his confiscated guns Wednesday from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, then accompanied his girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, 27, as she picked up her own guns deputies took last month.
Scheibe told cops he had a shotgun, an AR-15 rifle and two handguns. She said the two had been together since August and that she told Zimmerman to leave her Sanford home.

A few weeks ago, Scheibe requested that assault charges Zimmerman be dropped so the two could “talk to each other and be together.”
In a signed affidavit, Scheibe said that detectives misinterpreted what she said and that she hasn’t been coerced into the request.
