HBO set to make ‘2 Dope Queens’ podcast a series
2 Dope Queens, the popular podcast from comedians Phoebe Robinson and Jessica Williams, is heading to HBO. Robinson shared the news in a tweet that the pair will work with HBO to create four hour-long specials based on the work they’ve done with their podcast already.
“The work wife and I are beyond thrilled that the formula we’ve perfected over the past four seasons of doing the podcast (Ignorance x Cocoa Butter + Comedic Honesty) is being brought to this network,” said Robinson, who also hosts a podcast entitled Sooo Many White Guys.

2 Dope Queens has been dishing out weekly episodes since it premiered in April 2016 and lets the comedic duo share their feelings and thoughts on “sex, romance, race, hair journeys, living in New York, and Billy Joel.”
Williams, who starred in Netflix’s recently released The Incredible Life of Jessica James, said: “We are so stoked to be partnering with HBO for these specials. Excited to add a couple more Khaleesis to the network.”
