Kanye West uses Arsenio Hall as example of what not to be, talk show host responds
When Kanye West made the rounds last week during radio interviews, he used Arsenio Hall as an example of what could happen to him if people stopped supporting his music.
Well, Arsenio Hall was asked about West’s remarks and had this to say:
“I hate the word slave used in songs. Get the f**k out of here. Do you know what that word is? Do you kow what that word is all about? Nobody can use slave in pop culture. If you in the music business you should not f**k with that word. Too serious an error, too serious a problem in America.” Arsenio said passionately. “There is no one that is free to move around this country that should use he word slave. Do you know what it meant to slaves?”
West recently mentioned to late-night television host during an interview with Power 105.1 New York’s popular radio show Breakfast Club.
Host Charlamagne tha God asked Yeezy why he was so materialistic said said, “I could use my voice but what’d happen if y’all don’t buy no other albums? People gonna say ‘Oh he like Arsenio Hall and he was turning up too much and now you fired. But when you got money can’t nobody fire you.”
