A Pennsylvania chapter of the Ku Klux Klan launched a neighborhood watch group in the area of Ridge Road in Fairview Township.

The hate group formed the committee in response to a series of recent break-ins in the neighborhood, said Frank Ancona, the organization’s imperial wizard and president.

From PennLive:

“It’s just like any neighborhood watch program. It’s not targeting any specific ethnicity. We would report anything we see to law enforcement,” Ancona said. “We don’t hate people. We are an organization who looks out for our race. We believe in racial separation. God created each species after its kind and saw that it was good.”

Residents along Ridge Road woke up to find fliers bearing Ku Klux Klan propaganda at their doorsteps Friday morning.

The fliers include an image of a hooded Klansman with the caption: “Neighborhood Watch. You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake.”

Fairview Township police said they are aware of the propaganda, but did not announce plans on how they were going to respond.

Ancona would not reveal identities of those involved in the local KKK chapter.

Seems like the tagline incites feelings of fear more than safety.

Should hate groups with a history of murder, violence and racism be allowed to form neighborhood watch groups?
