On November 11, 2012, Leon Ford was pulled over on a routine traffic stop by Pittsburgh Police and shot 5 times in the chest and paralyzed. He had broken no laws and was unarmed. Since then he has become a community activist and leader, organizing rallies for justice all over the country. Recently, he launched JusticeForLeon. A few weeks ago, he came and spoke to 1Hood Media Academy about violence in our community, leadership and his own story.
