Gabby Douglas has accomplished a lot in her short, yet very exciting life.

The Olympic gold medalist has two books out, and soon she’ll have a film under her belt.

“The Gabby Douglas Story” is set for release on Lifetime in 2014 and will star notable actresses Regina King, Natalie Hawkins and S. Epatha Merkerson.

Former “Everybody Hates Chris” star Imani Hakim, along with Sydney Mikayla (Whitney), will share the role of portraying Gabby.

From TV by the Numbers:

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the movie details the inspiring true story of the international gymnastics phenomenon, who overcame overwhelming odds to become the first African American ever to be named Individual All-round Champion in artistic gymnastics at the Olympics.
