Getting into one of the elite institutions known as the Ivy League is an experience only a select few get to experience. Being accepted into more than one is reserved for the best of the best. But getting an acceptance letter from all eight of them? That’s a rarity that surely has to be celebrated.

Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, a Long, Island, New York high school senior and valedictorian was able to accomplish just that, according to Essence

Uwamanzu-Nna hopes to combine her passion for science and the values she pulled from her Nigerian roots to help the world at large.

“Though I was born here in America, I visited Nigeria many times,” she said. “I’ve seen that my cousins don’t have the same opportunities that I have. So definitely, whatever I do, I want to make sure it has an impact on Nigeria.”

So far, Uwamanzu-Nna has already been celebrated for her work in science. She was named Intel Science Talent Search National Finalist and will reportedly be invited to the White House Science Fair. Hopefully, we can expect even more great things from her in the future.

As of now, Uwamanzu-Nna hasn’t made the choice of which school she’ll be attending in the fall, which is understandable given all of the options.
