Organization raises $5,000 for cameras for residents to record police interaction
The WeCopWatch organization has raised close to $5,000 for cameras to give to residents in light of the events happening in Ferguson, Missouri.
The fundraising efforts comes in response to strained relations with police and citizens in California and throughout the country.
WeCopwatch has been on the ground in Ferguson for the last week Copwatching and connecting with residents in the Cantfield neighborhood. (the location where Mike Brown was murdered)
There is a general consensus that more cameras are needed and with daily police attacks, it makes sense to to get them into people’s hands as soon as possible.
