After much speculation over a grainy police video released last week – showing a seemingly scratch-less George Zimmerman arriving at the Sanford Police Station – an enhanced video has been released today, showing injuries on Zimmerman’s head.

The video does give some credence to Zimmerman’s claim that he was physically attacked by Trayvon Martin.

From ABCNews.com:

“The initial police report noted that Zimmerman was bleeding from the back of the head and nose, and his lawyer later claimed that Zimmeran suffered a broken nose. After receiving medical attention at the scene of the shooting, it was decided that he was in good enough condition to travel in a police cruiser to the Sanford, Fla., police station for questioning. He did not check into the emergency room following the police questioning.

The surveillance tape of Zimmerman, later released by the Sanford Police Department, could be used as evidence if Zimmerman is brought up on charges, sources tell ABC News.”

Further complicating matters however are remarks from forensic experts regarding the now-infamous 911 tape that captures someone screaming for help mere seconds before the fatal gunshot that killed Trayvon Martin.

According to two experts, it is very unlikely that those screams are from George Zimmerman. These findings do not corroborate Zimmerman’s claims that it was he who was calling out for help.

From MSNBC:

“‘The tests concluded that it’s not the voice of Mr. Zimmerman,’ Tom Owen, of Owen Forensic Services LLC and chair emeritus for the American Board of Recorded Evidence, told MSNBC.

Asked if he thought such tests would be admissible in court, Owen said “yes” and noted he had recently used similar testing in testimony at a Connecticut murder case that involved 911 call.”
