In a post-verdict with CNN, George Zimmerman’s brother spoke at length about a variety of issues surrounding the highly-publicized trial.

Robert Zimmerman Jr. told Piers Morgan that George Zimnmerman fears vigilantes, and that Trayvon’s parents have used the “race card.”

From NewsOne:

“There are factions, there are groups, there are people that would want to take the law into their own hands as they perceive it, or be vigilante’s in some sense,” he told Morgan during the live interview. “They think that justice was not served, they won’t respect the verdict no matter how it was reached and they will always present a threat to George and his family.”

In another interview, Robert had the audacity to continue his family’s crusade against Trayvon Martin’s character, suggesting that Martin was trying to procure a gun, and grow marijuana.

From Slate:

I want to know what makes people angry enough to attack someone the way that Trayvon Martin did. I want to know if it is true, and I don’t know if it’s true, that Trayvon Martin was looking to procure firearms, was growing marijuana plants… I want to know that every minor, high-schooler, that would be reaching out in some way for help, and they may feel it’s by procuring firearms or whatever they may be doing, that they have some kind of help. I think that’s what George was trying to do when he mentored two black children.

Wow.
