BREAKING: Nelson Mandela dead at 95

It is with great regret that we inform you of the passing of Nelson Mandela. He was 95.

Mandela, who became South Africa’s first black president after serving nearly three decades in prison fighting South African apartheid, had been ill for quite some time.

Nelson Madela remains ill, unable to speak


According to his former wife Winnie, Nelson Mandela remains quite ill. Tubes used to clear his lungs and prevent infection make it impossible for the civil rights leader to speak, and he uses his face to communicate.

He remains sensitive to any germs and has to literally be kept sterile.
