The companies say the pool of job applicants is to blame for the severe shortage of blacks and Latinos in Silicon Valley.Ā
TheĀ Englewood neighborhood on Chicago’s south side will be hosting its first 5KĀ in November. The event, calledĀ Ditch the Weight and Guns 5K Walk and RunĀ organized by Andrea Natay. She hopes that the event will draw nearly 1000 participants.
