Hillary Clinton Isn’t Backing Away From The Term ‘Radical Islamism’
One criticism conservatives have consistently held against President Obama and his supporters is regarding their refusal to label acts of violence and murder conducted specifically by members of the Muslim faith as “Radical Islamism/Jihadism.” The reasoning for that decision is to prevent the world from viewing one of it’s largest religions as a catalyst for terror […]
Harvard Owned Up to Its Role in Slavery. When Will the Others?
Last week, Harvard University officials announced a plan to create a plaque commemorating slaves who were forced to work on the campus during the 1700s. The Boston-based institution follows in the footsteps of fellow Ivy League member Brown University’s Steering Committee on Slavery and Justice, albeit considerably later. Yet they are far outnumbered by the […]

Why I’m not surprised there was a violent KKK rally down the street from Disneyland
TW: This story involves graphic imagery. I moved out of Orange County, California nearly two years ago. I don’t miss it. At all. And, on days like today, I am ever grateful that I got out of there when I did. Most people who know me know that I worked “for the Mouse” for five years. […]
This video explains the difference between being “non-racist” and “anti-racist”
Many White folks congratulate themselves for not being racist. YouTube star Franchesca Ramsey made a funny but cringe-worthy video about “not racist White people” that gets right to the heart of this conversation. But, this video published at The Guardian, featuring 2015 Man Booker Prize winning Jamaican writer Marlon James, explains why this mentality is […]

Why an Angry Whites “Listening Tour” is the Last Thing President Obama Should be Doing in 2016
It is often assumed that, since White folks are a majority in this country, the key to ending racism is just making them happy or “listening” to them. Sadly, this has never worked. And, the suggestion that President Obama should waste his time on an angry White people “listening tour” is both ignorant and racist.
Republicans Prove Terror Only Exists When Committed by People of Color
There were several important political issues missing from Tuesday night’s Republican debate in Las Vegas. Most noticeable was the repeated overlooking of recent acts of terror in this country committed by White men, namely the mass killing last month at a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood, and the murder of nine Black congregants at Emanuel AME this summer. This is […]

By Charlene A. Carruthers Today marks the 21st anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre by American-born Jewish settler Baruch Goldstein in Hebron. Since then, the level of Israeli occupation and domination throughout one of the world’s oldest cities continues to rise. I cannot tell you the entire story of what is happening in Palestine right now, but I […]
From Michael Brown to Assata Shakur, the racist state of America persists
The following piece is from The Guardian. It was written by Angela Davis. By: Angela Davis Although racist state violence has been a consistent theme in the history of people of African descent in North America, it has become especially noteworthy during the administration of the first African-American president, whose very election was widely […]

America #NeverLovedUs…Remember [VIDEO]
httpv://youtu.be/yguWeWhihAA I know, with the recent run by the USA in the World Cup and the 4th of July coming up, people are feeling real patriotic. Sadly, as demonstrated by the recent death of Denzell “Jaba” Curry, the lives of people of color are still not valued in America.
