A northwest Indiana man and woman have filed a federal lawsuit against the Hammond Police Department, alleging officers used excessive force during a routine traffic stop. The woman’s son recorded the incident on his cell phone.Â
A Pennsylvania couple is suing three police officers who they say invaded their home on Feb. 22. Kia Gaymon, 38, and her husband Michael, 35 of Collingdale, filed a lawsuit against the borough as well as three police officers.Â

The decision came after officials saw a video of an hour-long speech he delivered that included hate speech against African-Americans, the LGBT community and President Obama.Â
According to a study published in Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology, black and Hispanic children have about a 50 percent chance of developing diabetes over the course of their lifetimes. Americans overall have a 40 percent chance of developing the disease.Â
