Members of Arkansas’ Supreme Court tossed out a judge’s ruling to strike down the state’s voter ID law on Wednesday. In a 5-2 ruling, justices vacated the Pulaski County judge’s decision that the law violates the state’s constitution.

Yesterday, Ras Baraka claimed the mayoral seat of Newark, NJ. Baraka, a councilman and activist, beat law professor Shavar Jeffries for the seat left vacant by Cory Booker, who is now a senator in Washington. Baraka won 54% of the vote.
Magic Johnson has responded to remarks made by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. In a bizarre interview with Anderson Cooper that aired Monday, Sterling questioned Johnson’s character, as well as his contributions to the African American community.
