Andy Lopez was killed by a Northern California deputy while walking down the street with a pellet gun that looked like an assault rifle. Sheriff Steve Freitas plans to fully cooperate with federal investigators.
Art Palmer is the fourth man to come forward and say that he was unfairly racially profiled while shopping at a New York Macy’s. Both Macy’s & Barney’s have been under fire since last week after 19-year-old Trayon Christian announced his lawsuit against Barney’s after being arrested for making a purchase at the chain.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has selected La June Montgomery Tabron to be the foundation’s next president and CEO. Montgomery Tabron is currently the executive vice president of operations and treasurer. She will become the 12th leader of the 83-year-old foundation, and will replace Sterling Speirn.

A star football player from Chicago’s Simeon Career Academy has been killed. Police discovered Demarius Reed in a hallway at the University Green apartments in Ypsilanti, Michigan this morning.Reed was a junior at Eastern Michigan University. He was also the wide receiver for the school’s football team.
