A federal appeals court blocked a judge’s order requiring changes to the NYPD’s stop-and-frisk program. The judge has also been removed from the case. In August Judge Shira Scheindlin ruled that the city had violated the Constitution by executing its stop-and-frisk policy.

One of two teen girls who posted a picture dressed in Blackface after being “n***ers” for Halloween has responded to criticism for her costume choice. The teen had a message for African Americans, telling them the stop worrying about her costume and to start worrying about where their fathers are.
