A Philadelphia teen who alleges that a female police officer injured his groin during a stop-and-frisk will be prosecuted on March 7. Darrin Manning faces misdemeanor charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest in connection with the incident. 

Former Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent was convicted of intoxication manslaughter for a car wreck that killed his close friend and teammate Jerry Brown. The December 2012 car accident occurred after a night of partying with fellow Cowboys players.

Columbine High School and nearby schools in Colorado were placed of lockout status after a series of threatening phone calls. Under the lockout, school business goes on as usual, but no one can enter or leave the building. The alert has since been lifted.
