Miami Heat star LeBron James and other players are threatening to boycott the NBA if Sterling remains owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.  According to Roger Mason Jr., the NBA Player’s Association president, James and other athletes say they aren’t setting foot on the court next year if Donald Sterling isn’t removed. 

  Magic Johnson has responded to remarks made by Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. In a bizarre interview with Anderson Cooper that aired Monday, Sterling questioned Johnson’s character, as well as his contributions to the African American community.  During an interview with CNN on Tuesday, Johnson made the following statement:

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has gone from being known as just a racist white man, to a quite bizarre individual. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Monday, Sterling went off on Magic Johnson, and questioned his charitable contributions to society. 

  Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has issued an apology for racist remarks made during a recorded conversation with his former girlfriend V. Stiviano. On Sunday, Sterling apologized for the entire ordeal calling it a “terrible mistake.”

California state government departments will be prohibited from displaying or selling items that carry the Confederate flag. The state’s Assembly passed the bill Monday. 

Donald Sterling is in search of lawyers to sue the NBA for suspending him and attempting to strip him of ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers.
