    Protesters gathered outside the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Monday in opposition of the paper’s coverage of events happening in Ferguson. The activists stood outside the building dressed as old-time newsies and passed out mock-up papers yelling, “Extra, extra. Read all about it. Post-Dispatch changes its name to Post-Disgrace.”

  Activists in Ferguson have collected 200,000 signatures backing their demand that federal agencies address the national trend of police brutality with major reforms. The activists are calling for the collection and release of comprehensive data on how many Americans are killed by law enforcement officers annually. 

  The Free Marissa Mobilization Campaign is calling for a Mother’s Day Week of Action on May 9-18. The campaign is an effort to build support for Marissa Alexander’s freedom, an African American mother and survivor of domestic violence from Jacksonville, Fla.
