An Ohio man charged with killing his 11-year-old daughter Thursday was denied a temporary release to attend the child’s funeral. Deandre Kelley, 34, was charged with the shooting death of Achauntiara Lanza during an argument with the victim’s mother. State court Judge Nadine Allen cited security concerns for the decision. 

The family of an east Texas man is demanding answers to questions surrounding the mysterious death of their loved one, Alfred Wright. The 28-year-old was found dead late last year. A medical examiner ruled the death accidental, but a pathologist hired by the family cited severe trauma to his body.
