Beyoncé’s visual album LEMONADE has officially been a part of the public consciousness for a year. To celebrate the project and all of its critical acclaim, Beyoncé didn’t drop a new album or even a song. Instead, she’s changing the lives of four women seeking a higher education, according to CNN.

Ariyana Davis applied to a total of 24 colleges and universities this past year. 23 of them were HBCUs. Being the stellar student that she is, the Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School senior was accepted to all of them.

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard has declined to bring sexual assault charges against three men at Morehouse and one at Georgia Tech. The two cases had lingered without charges for over two years because, according to Howard, they involved complexities surrounding whether one can consent under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Rape and sexual assault on college campuses is at epidemic status and the lack of action taken by school administrators is an alarming concern. These issues were brought up in a recent social media campaign called #RapedByMorehouse where an anonymous Twitter user recounted a tale of an horrific assault.

After a year in which more than 50 women have come forth accusing Bill Cosby of rape and sexual assault, the former well-loved comic is now suing several of the women for defamation. The counter-suit was filed on Monday December 14 in federal court in Massachusetts against seven accusers who live in the state.
