Alumni and students at Loyola University Chicago say they’re furious that the school changed its policy to prevent same-sex couples from getting married on campus. The decision comes after Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signed a bill into law that allows same-sex marriage.

Yesterday Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni signed the country’s Anti-Homosexuality Act, banning the practice of same-sex acts and relationships. The act is punishable by up to life in prison. If that isn’t drastic enough, Red Pepper newspaper has published the identities of what it describes as the country’s “200 Top Homos.”

In a press conference held at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Thursday, Dr. Bernice King expressed her disapproval about her brothers’ decision to sell her father’s possessions. There is growing concern about the safety of LGBTQ people in Nigeria now that anti-gay legislation has been signed into law. President Goodluck Jonathan has signed legislation that allows those who are in same-sex relationships to be jailed or up to 14 years.
